Minimum Educational Qualification: Bachelor's Degree or Higher National Diploma in Sciences such as Food Science/Technology, Biochemistry, Chemistry etc.

Minimum Relevant Work Experience: 3 - 5 years’ experience in a similar role in a food manufacturing company.

Nestlé Nigeria is currently looking to fill the position of a Quality Assurance Specialist, who will support the factory or R&D center in specific areas of expertise (e.g. food safety, HACCP, auditing, hygiene, pest control, chemical contaminants, microbiology food safety, sensory, thermal processing, statistical process control, net content management etc.).

A day in the life of the Quality Assurance Specialist:

People and know-how:

• Promote quality awareness across the company. Contribute to competence development of quality professionals across the organisation

System design:

• Define and update the specific quality procedures, instruction and tools which are directly related to their area of concern.

Quality mastership:

• Supports the Nestlé Continuous Excellence program in the quest for zero defect, including root cause analysis after incidents (or near misses) and DMAIC.
• Supports activities to achieve compliance with the Nestlé Quality Management System requirements and other applicable instructions and standards.
• Deliver training for their specific areas of expertise.

Quality auditing and verification:

• In their specific area of expertise, assess that the Nestlé Quality Management System is in place, and is obtaining expected results in a given operating unit.

What Will Make You Successful?

Academic Experience:

Bachelor's Degree or Higher National Diploma in Sciences such as Food Science/Technology, Biochemistry, Chemistry etc.

Operational Experience:

Minimum of 3 - 5 years’ experience in a technical role in a food manufacturing company

Demonstrated competence in their specific field to support business requirements:

• Team member in a factory: Quality, Production Support, Application Group, or team member in the quality department of the Market

Business Experience:

Experience in successfully implementing quality assurance programs:

• Participating in project teams
• Leading part of a change effort
• Participating in audit teams and/or improvement projects with more senior staff members
