Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Card & Electronics Transaction Officer to join our dynamic team. This is a full-time hybrid role as a Cards & Electronics Transaction Officer located in Lagos with some remote work possible. The Cards & Electronics Transaction Officer will be responsible for cards and other electronics payments/settlements management. From issuance through monitoring to reporting to achieve the Bank's electronics transaction volume target.


Job Responsibilities

  • Card Product Development: Overseeing the design and launch of new card products (e.g., credit cards, prepaid cards, fuel cards) that meet customer needs and align with market trends.
  • Card Operations Management: Ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of card services, including card issuance, activation, and maintenance, as well as handling any technical issues related to card processing.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensuring all card-related services and transactions comply with regulatory requirements (such as PCI DSS standards) and managing risks related to fraud, data breaches, and misuse of card services.
  • Vendor and Partnership Management: Liaising with external vendors, like card manufacturers, and service providers for card processing (e.g., Mastercard, Visa), and managing partnerships for co-branded or white-label card products.
  • Customer Support and Issue Resolution: Handling escalated customer complaints related to cards, including fraud issues, lost or stolen cards, and technical problems.
  • Card Analytics and Reporting: Monitoring the performance of card products by analyzing data on usage, transaction volume, and customer satisfaction to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Strategic Planning: Developing strategies to grow card product usage, enhance profitability, and improve the overall customer experience.
  • Cross-Department Collaboration: Working closely with other teams like marketing, IT, compliance, and customer service to ensure the success of card programs and services.


Job Requirement

  • Business-related degree
  • 5 years of card management experience in the financial services sector
  • Proven experience in managing the effective and efficient completion of debit and credit card processing functions and support
  • Proven experience in the management of a card business project
  • Proven experience in the development and management of strategic partnerships to grow the card business
  • Highly efficient cross-functional team management
  • Sound planning and organizational skills with the ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Active Listening and Communication Skills.
  • Time management skills.
  • Technical skill and effective use of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, etc.)
  • Experience in the use of core bank application/solution is compulsory
