Job Summary

The prospective job holder is responsible for driving sales by actively engaging with potential customers, promoting products or services, and closing deals. This role involves identifying new business opportunities, building strong customer relationships, and meeting sales targets.

The Direct Sales Agent will also provide product information, address customer inquiries, and ensure a positive sales experience to foster long-term customer loyalty.


Key Accountabilities

  • Identify and pursue opportunities to expand our client base, leveraging innovative strategies to attract forward-thinking clients
  • Play a key role in the origination of deals, working closely with both clients and internal teams to ensure successful deal execution
  • Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing clients, ensuring their needs are met and expectations exceeded
  • Assist in building and executing our pipeline of opportunities, working towards and achieving individual sales goals, contributing to the overall success of the business
  • Driving referrals by encouraging satisfied members to refer friends and family, expanding the gym's reach through word-of-mouth marketing.
  • Keeping track sales activities, leads, and customer information using the gym's CRM or other designated systems.
  • Stay abreast of market trends and shifts, as well as competitive landscape, to inform business development strategies and tactics
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align on business development goals and strategies, fostering a culture of teamwork and shared success
  • Regularly report on business development activities and outcomes, providing insights and recommendations to drive continuous improvement


Educational and Experience

  • University degree/HND in Business Administration, Marketing, Mass Communications, Economics, Finance, or a relevant field.
  • 3 or more years of relevant experience in Business Development/Sales or Marketing.
  • One or more years of relevant experience in the retail/hospitality industry is considered an asset
  • Relevant professional certifications is an added advantage


Skills and Competencies

  • Detail oriented, with the ability to manage projects from inception through to completion
  • Proven ability to initiate contacts and building long term relationships
  • Highly motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work with a team
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Skills in digital marketing are considered an asset
  • Self-starter with a hands-on approach
