Library and You is an initiative on library advocacy via
media platforms and library developmental projects. The media platform takes
the form of seasonal TV series and active social media interactions while the
library developmental projects is centered on direct service delivery in
schools and communities to resuscitate libraries.
The call for volunteers is for individuals who shall work
with us on ongoing and upcoming projects. These projects are focused on library
advocacy and library developmental projects.
Interested applicant must have interest in the emancipation
of human minds and through the library, reading culture, literacy development
and capacity building.

CATEGORY B
- Scriptwriter
- Content developer
- Graphics designer
- Social media administrator
- Website administrator
- Associate, Library advocacy project
- Associate, Library Initiative Project
LOCATION: category A applicants have to be within
the FCT, While category B applicants
are welcome from any location.
WORKING TIME:
Volunteer an average 10-16 hours weekly
PREFERED SKILLS
For Category A :
Applicants must possess the following
Excellent oral communication skills for wide range of
audience
Excellent leadership skills
A professional or personal interest in reading culture,
literacy development and library development
Creative and critical thinking skills
Ability to organize and coordinate projects
Ability to work with people from different background
For Category B
Applicants are expected to be able to display accurate
competence and professionalism in the course of their duties, and collaborative
workflow with people of different background.
