English Language Specialist at TransPerfect

With over 350,000 global experts, we collect and annotate data used by our clients to offer a superior AI-enabled customer experience. Currently we are looking for annotators to generate test and training data sets for automatic fact verification systems. 

Job Title: English Language Specialist

Location: Lagos

Employment Type: Contract


Job Responsibilities

As an annotator for this project you will be performing the following tasks: 


  • Understanding details of given data points,
  • Generating new data points in accordance with the guidelines to be provided,
  • Writing sentences in correct English, including spelling and grammar,
  • Analyzing differences between sentences and writing comparative statements,
  • Labelling relations between data points.


Job requirements


  • Experience in linguistics, communication, data annotation. 
  • Advanced level of written English
  • Work with minimal supervision, proactive and self-motivated for timely delivery of quality work.
  • Demonstrated creative and critical thinking capabilities and troubleshooting skills.
  • Clear and compelling communication skills.
  • High level of vocabulary
