Job Description
Sourcing of high-quality cashew from reliable sources and vendors to support business operation. This includes timely and most cost-effective sourcing strategy, vendor strategic management and ensuring quality control standards.
- Conduct research cashew source to ensure supply guarantee.
- Daily tracking of global cashew and Agric commodity price movement and market.
- Maintain strategic relationship with farmers, cooperatives, and other important stakeholders.
- Negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery schedule with vendors.
- Build and maintain good relationships with new and existing vendors also ensuring compliance with standards.
- Identify and mitigate procurement risks.
- Monitoring of inventory levels, ensuring adequate stock in line with stock holding policy.
- Processing of purchase orders.
- Conduct vendor evaluation.
- Analyze data and produce reports and statistics on spending and savings for decision making.
- Sourcing high quality cashew and collaborate with Quality Assurance to ensure timely delivery meets expectations.
- Minimum of Bachelor’s degree (B.Sc.)/HND Purchasing and Supply, Agriculture or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of procurement / commodities experience, preferably in the Cashew industry.
- Strong knowledge of cashew markets trends, quality standards and regulatory requirement.
- Good communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Experience with international trade and Logistics.
- Knowledge of local and international; cashew markets.
