As an integral member of the Executive Management Team, the GM, Sales is a critical part of our ongoing commitment to grow the business and deepen our solutions capabilities. The ideal candidate is energetic, a strategic thinker, an accomplished and highly experienced sales professional with background in key account management, IT and solution sales, OEM vendor relationship management, commercials, and extensive relationships with C-Suite level executives across different sectors.

 

As General Manager, Sales you will be primarily responsible for driving growth and hitting sales target and profit goals. Using your IT solution and industry knowledge, you will be expected to identify and close deals following an effective sales process, strong client engagement, and innovative sales strategies.

Responsibilities

Responsible for the development and delivery of a strategic plan to achieve business objectives and drive profit

Identify new and existing business opportunities to drive organizational growth and promote strong client attraction, engagement and retention strategies

Drive account planning in strategic accounts i.e., Service Providers, Financial Services, Utilities, Government and Commercial sectors - with a clear understanding of budget owners, influence centers, and the approval process across users to procurement departments  

Establish strong, trust-based relationships with clients, champion client advocacy and maintain business relationships with key internal and external stakeholders

Identify and understand customer needs, proactively provide the right solutions that meet the clients’ pain points- working closely with the solutions sales team.

Commercial management- successfully undertake pricing, contract negotiations (under approvals) ensure and monitor profitability.

Enhance the business capabilities and service offerings by listening to client needs and deriving insights based on their needs and processes.

Maintain an up to date understanding of solutions capabilities, competitor knowledge, industry practices and market opportunities

Responsible for effective sales forecasting, pipeline management, deal negotiation

Proactively monitor and strive to maintain high levels of quality, accuracy, and process consistency in the sales pipeline.

Evaluate current sales processes and recommend improvements.

Provide leadership, direction, mentoring and professional development to a team of experienced Account Managers and Client Sales Managers


Job Requirements

Degree in any related field. Master’s degree preferable

8+ years of B2B and IT solution sales experience

Up to 3 years sales management experience and proven work experience as an Account Manager

Strong leadership ability and customer centric orientation

Long term strategic thinker with strong commercial and business acumen

Experience in pipeline development and sales forecasting

Ability to engage, build and maintain relationships with the C-Suite level executives

Extensive relationships with key decision makers across several key sectors

Demonstrable ability to influence key stakeholders at all levels of an organization

Ability to influence and lead a team of people to achieve results

Ability to juggle multiple accounts at a time, while maintaining attention to detail

Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation, and report writing skills

Articulate and well-spoken

Resilient, result-oriented with strong organization and relationship building skills

Energetic, enthusiastic and a person of integrity with Initiative, Drive, Execution and Passion  

Flexibility to navigate ambiguity and effectively manage changing priorities

Industry knowledge and deep understanding of the competition landscape
