Job Title: PC Controller
Job Location: Lagos Nigeria
Role Purpose: The incumbent is responsible for the tax & other finance compliances in the factory including accounting, reporting, fixed asset management & control. (S)He performs periodic statements and provides management with business data, design and maintain the controlling and reporting system.
Job Description
- On ground tracking and spend management: Play an important role along with the procurement team on establishing bidding process, bid comparison and evaluation & on ground tracking and management of spends.
- Control: Ensuring the correct level of controls on the site in relation to the capital budget, assets, cash spends are maintained including development of SOP’s.
- Ensure control on the fixed assets in the factory environment including capitalization and disposal.
- Compliance on all the commericial tax during the project and running stage from day to day operations point of view & giving inputs to the Head office corporate team.
- Accounting and reporting post the implementation stage as per the corporate guidelines, maintain records as per legal and statutory requirement so the overall local, corporate and HQ requirements are fulfilled.
- Monthly closing & secure close link to Head office in regards to needed reporting, i.e. Scale, CIS, invest reporting, risk reporting, SOI and execute the needed reporting after alignment with local management
- Strong interlink towards accounting to secure financials with high transparency between Balance sheet, Statement of Income, Assets, etc.
Job Profile
- Education: Chartered Accountant with 3 to 5 years of experience covering area of Accounting and reporting in, factory control, commercials and tax including payables, banking, & Internal Controls
- Ideal candidate should have prior experience working as key user in SAP in a factory
- Ability to handle and manage people at different levels
- An excellent communicator in a range of situations both written and oral
- Excellent MS-Office skills (especially advanced knowledge of excel)
- Ability to drive and develop process in a new environment & handle ambiguity in the start up phase of the factory.
- Strong and partial knowledge of accounting ,operations & commercial taxes in the factory
- Thorough understanding of the SAP system & it's end to end implications from the factory operation/control point of view including FICO/T&P/MM/QM/AMM modules
- Compliance mindset and ability to effectively manage & develop people and colleagues
