Job Title:  Brand Designer

Position Overview:


We are seeking a creative and passionate Brand Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for crafting and maintaining TopSet’s visual identity across all platforms. This role requires a deep understanding of cultural representation, brand communications, and design principles to create compelling visual narratives that resonate with our diverse audience. Proficiency in website design, particularly with WordPress, is a significant plus.


Key Responsibilities:


Brand Identity:

  • Develop and maintain TopSet’s brand guidelines, ensuring consistency across all visual elements.
  • Collaborate with the marketing and communications team to create cohesive and impactful brand visuals.


Visual Design:

  • Design digital and print materials, including social media graphics, website visuals, email templates, advertisements, and promotional materials.
  • Create engaging animations and video content for social media and other digital platforms.


Cultural Representation:

  • Ensure all designs are culturally sensitive and accurately represent Yoruba, Igbo, and other African cultures.
  • Research and integrate cultural elements and symbols into design work to enhance cultural pride and awareness.


Collaboration:

  • Work closely with the content and social media teams to align visual content with brand messaging.
  • Provide design support for product announcements, events, and promotional campaigns.


Innovation:

  • Stay updated on design trends and best practices to continually enhance TopSet’s visual presence.
  • Experiment with new design tools and techniques to create fresh and innovative content.


Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in brand design, preferably within the edutech or cultural sectors.


Skills:

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Figma, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects) and other design tools.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing a range of creative and culturally representative design work.
  • Excellent understanding of typography, color theory, and layout principles.
  • Experience with animation, website design, and video editing is a plus.
