Job Summary:

The Human Resources Manager will oversee all aspects of HR operations—from recruitment and employee relations to policy implementation, staff welfare, performance management, compliance, and organizational culture. This role requires a proactive, emotionally intelligent leader who can work closely with the Managing Director and management team to drive a high-performance, values-aligned workplace.

Key Responsibilities:Strategic Leadership & Culture Building
  • Partner with senior leadership to design and implement HR strategies that support Maxitech’s vision and growth.
  • Foster a transparent, merit-driven, and collaborative work culture.
  • Champion employee engagement and internal communications initiatives.
Recruitment & Onboarding
  • Manage end-to-end recruitment, including job postings, screening, interviews, and offer management.
  • Coordinate structured onboarding and orientation programs to drive faster integration and productivity.
Performance & Talent Management
  • Design and manage performance appraisal systems with a focus on accountability, learning, and growth.
  • Identify skill gaps and work with department heads to design training and upskilling plans.
  • Support career pathing and succession planning initiatives.
Employee Relations & Discipline
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for conflict resolution, employee grievances, and disciplinary matters.
  • Ensure fair and consistent enforcement of HR policies and the employee handbook.
  • Conduct investigations where necessary and maintain proper documentation.
Compensation, Benefits & Welfare
  • Administer payroll in collaboration with Finance, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Manage employee benefits, including HMO, leave, and bonuses.
  • Coordinate timely welfare distributions and maintain transparent staff communication.
Compliance & Policy Development
  • Ensure HR practices comply with Nigerian labor laws and industry standards.
  • Review, update, and enforce company policies, HR manuals, and codes of conduct.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and support audit readiness.
Administration & External Liaison
  • Manage all HR vendors and service providers (e.g., HMO, training consultants, background check firms).
  • Oversee day-to-day administrative functions tied to the HR department, including documentation and reporting.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Psychology, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial or strategic role.
  • Strong knowledge of Nigerian Labour Law and HR best practices.
  • Proficiency with HR software tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, or high-growth organization is highly desirable.
