The People’s Project for Social and Climate Justice is a bold and impactful organization committed to dismantling unjust systems and empowering communities that have been historically marginalized. Through grassroots activism, advocacy, and direct action, we work across critical areas such as education, gender equality, climate justice, health justice, criminal justice reform, and grassroots democracy.


Boys Champions is one of our flagship initiatives, focused on mentorship, leadership, and positive or caring masculinity for boys and young men. This project fosters healthy masculinity, self-awareness, and social responsibility, and equips boys with the values and skills needed to create a more just and equitable society.

About the Role:

We are looking for a dedicated, proactive, and passionate Program Officer to lead and manage Boys Champions. If you are committed to gender equity, youth empowerment, and community development, and if you thrive in program management and engagement, this role is for you!

What You’ll Do:

Program Management & Implementation

• Design, implement, and oversee programs that promote positive masculinity and leadership development for young boys.

• Ensure all activities align with the organization’s mission and goals.

• Monitor program budgets, timelines, and resources to ensure smooth execution.

• Develop strategic partnerships to expand the reach and impact of Boys Champions.

• Collaborate with the Development and Communications departments to expand the impact of the Boys Champions’ mission.

Community Engagement & Stakeholder Management

• Work closely with schools, parents, community leaders, and local organizations to build a network of support for program participants.

• Facilitate workshops, mentorship programs, and leadership sessions tailored to young boys.

• Represent Boys Champions at conferences, forums, and advocacy events.

Impact Measurement & Reporting

• Develop and execute a monitoring and evaluation framework to assess program impact.

• Collect and analyze data to refine program strategies and improve effectiveness.

• Provide timely reports to the Director of Programs on program outcomes and recommendations.

What We’re Looking For:

• A passionate advocate for gender justice and youth development.

• Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, Development Studies, Education, or a related field.

• At least 2 years of experience in program management, preferably in the non-profit sector.

• Strong understanding of gender dynamics, positive masculinity, and youth development.

• Exceptional communication, leadership, and organizational skills.

• Experience working directly with young people and marginalized communities.

• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong report writing skills.
