: Storekeeper

Site Location: Ikoyi, Macdonald Road, Lagos State

Full-Time


Key Responsibilities:

1. Inventory Management:

  •  Supervise the entire process of receiving, storing, and distributing construction materials and equipment, ensuring that all steps are executed flawlessly.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive inventory management system, conducting regular updates and physical counts to ensure accurate stock levels at all times.
  •  Proactively monitor stock levels to avert shortages, implementing timely reordering procedures to guarantee that supplies are always on hand.


2. Receiving and Issuing Supplies:

  • Efficiently manage the receipt of deliveries, meticulously checking shipments against order forms to identify and resolve any discrepancies.
  •  Ensure all materials are properly labeled and systematically stored to enable quick access and maintain optimal organization within the storeroom.
  •  Accurately issue materials to various job sites upon request, complete with detailed documentation of every item taken from inventory, facilitating seamless operation on-site.

3. Record Keeping:

  • Generate regular inventory status reports, providing management with vital insights that support informed decision-making.
  •  Document any damaged or expired materials, taking appropriate action for disposal or return, in compliance with company policy.

4. Safety and Compliance:

  •  Ensure that all stored items adhere to stringent safety regulations and corporate policies, fostering a secure work environment.
  • Promptly report any identified hazards or safety concerns to management, ensuring the well-being of all staff and operations.

5. Communication and Coordination:

  • Work closely with site supervisors, project managers, and procurement teams to ensure the timely availability of materials based on project needs.
  • Establish effective communication channels with suppliers regarding orders, delivery timelines, and product specifications to optimize supply chain efficiency.
  •  Assist in training new personnel on proper inventory procedures and storage protocols, ensuring adherence to established standards.


Qualifications:

  • A high school diploma or its equivalent is required in inventory management or logistics is advantageous.
  •  Proven experience in a warehouse, stockroom, or as a storekeeper is preferred, particularly within the construction industry, with a strong understanding of various building materials.
  • Exceptional organizational skills paired with keen attention to detail.
  •  Strong verbal and written communication skills, complemented by the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
  • Physical capability to lift heavy materials and safely operate warehouse equipment.


Salary: 120K-150K plus Health Maintenance Organization (HMO)
