About You And The Role

The Warehouse Operator will be a member of the Fulfillment Operations team, executing several tasks related to but not limited to preparing life-saving packages meant for delivery to Zipline’s customers. These responsibilities encompass picking and packing orders, conducting cycle counts, completing checklists, and ensuring the overall organization and cleanliness of the warehouse. This role demands attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols and standard operating procedures, as well as the ability to perform repetitive tasks accurately and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

Inventory Receipt, Storage, and Audits:

  • Accurately receive inventory into the Zipline inventory management software system.
  • Utilize inventory management systems to track and record all movements of goods.
  • Ensure the received inventory is stored properly within the required storage locations and conditions (temperature requirements).
  • Assist in the periodic completion of Stock audits and audit reconciliations.


Picking and Packing:

  • Accurately pick products from storage based on incoming orders
  • Pack and label picked orders accurately ensuring items are securely packaged while following the standard operating procedures
  • Perform quality checks on items picked and packed to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and customer requirements.


General Warehouse Cleanliness and Safety:

  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety and hygiene protocols.
  • Complete Accurately, routine checklists for operations.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and safety regulations.


Communication and Collaboration:

  • Collaborate closely with specialist ops, flight ops, and customer care teams to coordinate daily operations and prioritize tasks.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding operational issues and opportunities for improvement.
  • Support other warehouse functions and team members as required. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and team meetings.


Required Qualifications:

  • OND/HND & or Fresh graduate Biology, Chemistry, Environmental Science, Agricultural Science, Microbiology, Medical Lab Tech, Community, Pharmacy Technician, Purchasing and Supply Chain or a related field is a plus.
  • Experience: 0-2 years of experience in a warehouse or similar environment preferred.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in performing repetitive tasks.
  • Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Computer literacy.
  • Efficiency in written and spoken communication.
  • Proficiency in using inventory management software and handheld devices for order processing.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment and following safety guidelines.
  • Reliable and flexible to work occasional overtime and weekends as needed.

Working Conditions:

  • Environment: Warehouse environment with exposure to varying temperatures and noise levels.
  • Physical Demands: Requires standing, walking, and lifting products and objects regularly.
  • Schedule: Full-time position, may require overtime and weekend work.


This role is on a two-year fixed-term contract.
