Job Title: Product Officer, Assets 

Location: Lagos, Nigeria

Job Schedule: Full Time


 Job Description

  • Develop and Implement strategies with the team to drive the growth of Mortgage, Cash backed Loans and Alliances .
  • Work closely with the Sales and Distribution team to create product awareness
  • Going on joint calls with the SBUs to sell Mortgage Loans.
  • Assist the Sales and Distribution team through designing and developing marketing tactics and actions to achieve financial objectives.
  • Training of RMs, ROs and other Client Engagement personnel/Agents in all the regions as well as Contact Centre from time to time to improve and update product knowledge.
  • Coordination of Mortgage and Cash backed products.
  • Working with reputable Vendors and developers to drive Mortgage sales. Ensuring that every necessary step is taken to improve the quality of credits for approval within the risk appetite of the Bank.
  • Liaising with the Product Champion and sales Officers on credit related issues for further review
  • Review of approved valuer list for enlistment and/or delisting.
  • Provide support for all initiatives/activities to drive up product sales and prevent/wind down on PDOs.
  • Tracking of collection activities on Stage 2 and 3 to ensure reduction in achieved.
  • Working closely with Remedial management team to ensure recovery and collection on Stage 2 and 3 is achieved on Secured Loan Products.
  • Engagement with auto dealers, developers for business development and partnerships.
  • Calls to existing counter-parties for relationship management and business development

Experience & Qualification

  • Minimum of 2nd class lower in first degree (MBA, MSC, MA, ML and/or Professional Qualifications may be needed.
  • Basic credit Risk management training and Remedial action
  • Minimum of 3-8 years working experience in financial services and the banking industry with specific responsibility for relationship management, product development and reviews

  • Must be analytical and have financial numeracy
  • Strong analytical skills including financial statement analysis, competitive analysis, segmentation analysis and statistical analysis; experience with data gathering and data analysis
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience in writing and delivering fact-based presentations and recommendations to Team leader and unit Head
  • Excellent command of English language
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills

Knowledge

  • Product Knowledge
  • Strong knowledge of banking operations, relationship management and products customer segmentation
  • Strong knowledge of Basic Credit and Risk management procedures and policies
  • Strong knowledge of selling skills
  • Basic knowledge of Early warning and Remedial action
  • Should possess close understanding of competitor offers
