Senior Mechanic at International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA)

Position:    Senior Mechanic

Deadline: 8 May 2025

Contract:        3-year renewable contract                                    

Location:  Ibadan

Hiring: International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA)


DUTIES: 

Repairs, maintenance, and overhauling of:

  • Motorcycles and tricycles;
  • Petrol engine generators;
  • Water pumping machines (petrol engines);
  • Mobile welding machines (petrol engines);
  • Brush cutters.

Inventory & Record-keeping:

  • Maintain accurate records of machines and spare parts.


Quality Control:

  • Conduct quality checks on spare parts and systems to ensure proper functionality of equipment.
  • Perform other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor


Requirements

QUALIFICATION:

OND in Mechanical Engineering and other related courses. The ideal candidate must have a minimum of six (6) years’ experience performing a similar role in a well-structured environment.


COMPETENCIES:


The ideal candidate must:


  • Have technical knowledge of various mechanical equipment handling.
  • Be hardworking.
