Location: Lagos State


Job Overview

The Director will oversee the strategic direction, operations, and management of BOAT Foundation, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services, efficient operations, and exceptional stakeholder engagement.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Lead the BOAT team in implementing strategic plans that align with the Foundation’s mission and vision to achieve its goals and objectives
  • Maintain a culture of excellence, innovation, and stakeholder-centricity
  • Oversee BOAT's operational management, including logistics, supply chain, and quality control
  • Develop and manage budgets, ensuring efficient use of resources and optimal allocation of funds
  • Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including donors, partners, and community leaders
  • Lead sourcing and securing funding from grants and other funding opportunities to support BOAT's programs and services
  • Research, write, and review grant proposals to ensure alignment with BOAT's goals and objectives
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and BOAT's policies and procedures
  • Identify and mitigate risks, ensuring the continuity and resilience of BOAT's operations
  • Collaborate with other NGOs, community organisations, and stakeholders to leverage resources, expertise, and networks
  • Represent BOAT in external forums, conferences, and meetings, promoting its mission, vision, reach, and impact
  • Manage the Board and all other governance activities


Requirements

  • A degree in Non-Profit Management or a related field.
  • At least 4-7 years of experience in a senior leadership role, preferably in an NGO, healthcare sector, or non-profit organization.
  • A proven track record of strategic planning, operational management, and team leadership.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Passionate about delivering high-quality services and improving healthcare outcomes in resource-constrained settings.
  • Willingness to Travel.


Reporting Structure

The Job title will report to the Vice President, Growth, Partnerships, and Innovations
